The Clan MacBean Foundation Grant Program
Clan MacBean is proud to be able to offer Grants and Scholarships to deserving men and women who are active in demonstrating our Scottish connections and concern for mankind.
Purpose:
(A) To provide financial assistance to men or women seeking to further skills and knowledge in studies related to Scottish culture.
(B) To assist in the initial establishment or continued maintenance of a project relating to Scottish culture.
(C) To encourage and support studies or projects relating to Liberal Arts and Sciences as the same may lead to the improvement and benefit of the Human Family.
Eligibility:
(1) Open to men and women of any race, color, creed or nationality.
(2) Trustees of the MacBean Foundation, their spouses, or their children are not eligible for grant funds.
(3) Applicant must be a high school graduate (before the Fall term begins).
(4) If pursuing a course of study, study program must relate directly to Scottish culture, or be in a field of study that leads directly to the improvement and benefit of the Human Family.
(5) If pursuing a specific project, project must reflect direct involvement in the preservation or enhancement of Scottish culture, or be an effort that would contribute directly to the improvement and benefit of the Human Family.
(6) Applications must be postmarked no later than May 1 (each year) to be considered for the fall term.
Financial Data:
(1) Grants will not normally exceed $5,000 (U.S.) and are normally for expenses occurred in the coming academic year.
(2) Examples of expenses toward which grant funds may be applied: Tuition, fees, books, room and board, printing and publishing costs, historical research fees, initial costs in establishing a project.
